Title: Smoking today to cook tomorrow?
Post by: Mgmaier on March 24, 2012, 04:08:17 PM
I want to smoke a couple pork shoulders today to take to out of town tomorrow.  I'm thinking of only smoking them and then finishing them in the oven tomorrow.  Has anyone ever tried this?  Did it work?

while i have not smoke meat today and finished cooking it on another  day. only concern would be food spoilage  during the smoking process with out cooking it.

as for  smoking and cooking in an oven ,,, yes it  can be  done, once the smoking process is finished the bradley is basically an oven.

I ended up taking the smoker with me and doing the whole thing there.  It turned out great as always.  I guess why try something new if I have something that already works.  I was just hoping to not have to take the smoker with me.

glad it worked out. I have taken my smoker with me on a couple occassions. It is nice that it is light and fairly portable.
