I know this would be frowned upon, but has anyone created a vent pipe that goes through the wall or window so you can smoke during wet weather?
Thanks!!!
Ryan
I've been using one for years. I attached a 5" galvanized fitting over the vent on the bds, which I leave wide open, with a 90# elbow, and then a 6' length of pipe over that, which I put outside thru a horizontal sliding window.I cut a 5" hole in a piece of plywood, which I place in the open window then slide the window shut on the ply,to keep weather out . My smoker is on a rolling tool cart which I roll to the window when I want to smoke.
Sorry I don't have pictures.

There are some members here that have their smoker set up inside their garage permanently. I've done some smokes in my garage when it's raining. I leave the garage door open plus I have detached garage. I monitor the temps with my maverick.

Mines permanent thru a small metal chimney. Mine was there, but they sell them just drill the hole slide the flat plate under shingle so it dont leak. Then run 3" PVC to it from smoker. Works great.
i put a range hood in my garage. works great

Little rough as I've not finished walls yet, but here's a picture of my setup....I've since made a cardboard "hood extender" that drops down right above just high enough that I can still open the door...The garage still gets a bit smokey, but nothing unmanageable.
