Title: Canadian Bacon on mounting boards
Post by: KyNola on March 28, 2012, 12:20:33 PM
A while back I ordered some mounting boards that I had sized to fit inside the quart and gallon Weston made vac seal bags.

Today I had to slice and vac seal some Canadian Bacon I smoked last weekend so I thought I would try one of the boards out.  I think it turned out really well.  Makes a nice presentation for gifts.

I ordered them here: www.amindle.com  Nice folks and very helpful.  Does not take credit cards but said "just let us know when the check has been mailed and we will get your order in the production line."  They are very familiar with the Bradley Smoker Forum too!

Thanks for looking guys!

Last time i vac sealed my jerky it kind of sucked every thing into the middle and scrunches it all up. Those boards might be the ticket. Thanks for sharing :)

I don't know that there is one.  I tried to be respectful of the fact that I understood that they were more of a commercial oriented company and ordered 150 of each size.  Had a buddy that wanted some so we split it. ;)  The response I got from the guy I had been communicating with was "I can run a small order as easily I can a large order".  Give them the dimensions you want and the number you want and they will shoot you a price quote.  Make sure they include the shipping costs as they forgot that on mine initially.

A. Mindle is on the Vender Approved List on the recipe site. They will accommodate any order size. What they do is use over runs from large commercial orders. You can also cut the boards yourself to different sizes without doing any harm to the boards. I ordered one of their standard size boards, and I believe I ordered 50.
