My son left to Afghanistan 2 weeks ago.
Said he is ok, doing some training and its freaking cold. I hate this place already he said, we dont trust the Afg army or police at all. We are not going to drive the trucks because they IED them so we walk....Yikes
Going to be a long 5-8 months
Sure hope all will be well with them over there, I thank them all for their service

Sad, but just like in Vietnam. Couldn't trust anyone who wasn't one of us. Hope he comes back safe and sound.

It's been YEARS since I've heard any reason for this venture.
I ain't saying it's right or wrong anything of the sort.
Just don't really know what the heck the mission is anymore.
