Title: Smoking this weekend
Post by: Shasta bob on April 02, 2012, 06:03:36 AM
I plan to smoke a turkey breast an a pork shoulder, is it the turkey on top or pork on top in the smoker. Will it make a difference if i put a alum. catch pan under each one?

i would some them separately, have heard to much about cross contamination from poultry and other  meats that lead to salmonella , if you have the tome , smoke and cook them  separately.

I am only addressing a  concern

Were almost in the same boat Bob, Rain for the next month ;D Yesterday it got up to 63° F, first time I was able to take my jacket off outside in some time. Good luck with that Soggy smoke ;)
