Welcome Crash!  You'll find there is an inexhustable supply of patience here and tons of good advice from experienced smokers.  Just remember, there are no dumb questions - and many of us have made the same mistakes - so don't be afraid to ask.

Hey John, welcome!  I'm a relative newbie from MN as well.  Got my Bradley off of Craigslist a year ago and I've been very happy with my ribs, turkeys, chickens, cheeses, thus far.  Still trying to perfect my sausage making though.  You'll find the guys on here are very knowledgeable and eager to help.  Good luck!

Do you have a 900w or dual 500w elements; or are you making sausage, snack stix. If not then why not smoke something. You can do lots of things without the PID. ;D

Oh, I am running the standard stock on right now!  However I am known to mod things after warranty is up!
