Title: First smoke of spring
Post by: smokinmac on April 09, 2012, 07:25:52 AM
De-winterized the Bradley and readied some ribs for a quick weekend smoke. Nothing fancy, but wanted to pass along a great rub I tried for the first time. It's McCormick's Cowboy Rub. It's very coarse ground, and left a really nice crust. Very peppery and has a bite, but not killer hot. Label says it has ground coffee beans in it, as well. Give it a try. Less than 3 bucks at Wally World. Just the usual 3ish, 2ish, 1ish on the ribs.

What did you mean when you said "3ish, 2ish, 1ish on the ribs"?  Thanks.

Slow on the draw here. The taste was great, a little spicy and crunchy crust. 3-2-1, is 3 hours smoke, 2 hours in foil, and 1 more hour foil removed. I didn't time it precisely, accounted for heat up time, etc.
