For the last few weeks I noticed the trench line that I dug last fall for the electrical line to the equipment shelter has been settling and today looked like a good time to take the tractor and fill in the areas that settled. I think I may have tried to do this too early. The first pics are when I first got stuck. I took the pics and figured once I locked the rear diff I could just walk the tractor out. WRONG!! So the last pics are after I tried to get it out with the rear dif locked and the tractor in 4 wheel drive. Did not work and then I was definitely stuck.
I am SOOOOO glad that I have the Komatsu. I didn't get pics of it pulling the tractor out because it was getting dark and I just wanted to get the tractor out. The first attempt I broke the double looped 1/4" chain so then I went to a 5/16" heavy duty duty transport chain and even that was sounding like it was going to snap. But the tractor is out of the mud hole and back under shelter and the Komatsu is waiting for another job. I sure love that excavator (the tractor too) but that excavator is so impressive.

Wow, that don't look like fun...
Yep, I would say you got stuck. Wonder what would have happened if you would have put the bucket down and lifted the front tire out and backed out. This might have worked at the start but once that front got down she was sure toast. Glad you got the tractor out.
Yep !!! you was stuck...good ending though...
Looks like your stuck. "Nope, just wanted to try out my 4 wheel drive." ;D ;D
yep.. yep that you are stuck
You done good getting it stuck. I remember once, I worked on a potato farm in cloverdale when I was 17. I was discing the last pass in a field right along the ditch. It was a 4 cylinder 4X4 tractor (true 4X4 which means the front tires are the same size as the back). I was chugging along happy as a clam cause I was going to finish early in a really dusty field. The disc caught a root that was well planted by one corner of the disc and before I could react I was headed for the ditch. That thing went in so deep that the mud was up to ankles. The disc spun sideways and ended up almost right beside me. I was not popular with the boss. We had to get 2 reach tow trucks and literaly crane it out of the ditch cause the truck could not pull it out. I new Jack was mad cause when we were all finished he looked at me and said " I guess you won't do that again", When jack was mad he didn't say to much. The expression on his face never ever changed though.
when he wasn't mad he was always talking or telling a joke. Good job getting that thing out John.
Better it sunk then turned over on top of you! But yes you are stuck!
