Post by: devo on April 24, 2012, 03:53:48 PM
Nice day today so I fired up the TBE and cooked some chicken drum sticks and baked potatoes for dinner

Just hanging around waiting to go into the TBE

A couple of the ends got burnt and dropped through but all is good, they just landed on the patatoes  ;D

Plated up with some smoked cheese on the potatoes. Yummy

Devo, how long did the taters take. I did some in the house oven and the next day I heated them up in the SRG and they were even better. BIG TIME crisp skin and fluffy inside.
Also have you seen the yard bird leg holders from charbroil. They are nice. Work great.

Everything took just over an hour. I started the taters about 15 min. before I stuck the drums in. Thanks for the heads up on the yard bird leg holders but I gots enough stuff going on. Trying to find a stand up freezer for my dry curing adventure. Have everything else, just need something to use as a dry cure chamber. Once I get that I should be good for awhile. Retirement is next.............can't wait  ;)
