My wife works in a high end grocery store and she was sick of the knifes that the company supplied. She went out and bought her own knifes and I made this box for them and other utensils.
It is made from zebra wood, ipe, quartered figured sapelli, quartered figured makore, figured maple and some very expensive left over plexiglas.

Owrstrich,
How small is this world. I live about 5 miles from the Milwaukee mile. I could hear the cars from that distance and it is a pleasant sound.
To me the best place to watch a race is behind the wheel. That is why I took up open wheel racing for 6 years. I have a track at Road America and a nearly head on accident there.
My daughter lives in Sun Prairie and some day I'll take a race in there.

That is some fine piece of woodwork.
Ecellent workmanship. The figured wood is great, and nice inlay there.
car54 Ecellent handy work [;)]
You should get extra credit for using the zebra wood. I think it should be named that for its, uh rich, aroma (http://home.comcast.net/~garyco212/smileys/hurl.gif)
