Title: new smoker
Post by: amigo smoker on April 26, 2012, 01:37:03 PM
Well my friend came round today and i told him about the ibs i had yesterday.

He was saying that his dad used to smoke food 20 years ago, and it was fab, but when his dad died he does not know what happened to his smoker.
he said he would love a smoker as he likes cooking but just cant afford one

He is a single parent, and a fantastic one at that, and a true friend, would do anything for anyone.but money is tight  for him.

So im going to build him one, a wooden one, i cant afford to buy him a bradley ( ordered mine today  :) ), but im reasonable at diy, so going to try and build something that he can use, not gonna tell him though incase it all goes wrong lol

i will post pics up as i go so you guys can give me advice if you dont mind

hopefully i can get it right and make his day

one question i do have

its going to be about the size of a bradley, and i was wandering if i need to line the inside

if so what is the best material and what would i fix it with, or would it be ok left bare wood, i guess if it was lined it would make cleaning easier
