So the cat wakes me up at 2 AM this morning again. So I get up and am doin computer stuff and I hear the cat batting at the window. I turn around and the only thing between my cat and a Racoon is a Double pane sliding glass door. They were both tryin to get each other. This racoon also has a stump for a tale. I figure someone is feeding this racoon cause he is not afraid of me at all, I just want him gone...

Looks like a cute little critter. You should have opened the door and invited him in. :D
;D ;D ;D
Coon stew
It sounds crazy, but it seems to work...
Leave a radio on outside turned to talk radio or sports radio or something like that. Not loud enough that your neighbors can hear it. ;) A couple of my friends and my MIL have done this, and the voices seem to scare the critters off.
On another note, You got a nice dam deck ;D. I thought the coon was inside and the cat was outside for a split sec ;D. Hey, its 7 in the morning. :P
Leave some food in the Primo for him. Then close the lid and fire her up ;)

I'll try that, I have a stray cat that I feed and he sleeps out on the deck but his food bowl is never left out at night or longer than it takes for him to eat. Thats what the little green round mat is where he eats, the Racoon probably smells sumpin there. I've been out there in the Morning sittin on the deck and that Coon will sneak right up on yah and scare heck out of me and he wont even back off, I have to retreat into the house.
Sounds like he is getting a little too cozy around people. You might have to trap and relocate..
..... to Spokane, perhaps.
BANG
The radio trick does work for wild ones but with that pest being not afraid of humans I dont think the radio will work.
You will most likely have to trap that thing, call the humane society they will do it for ya.
I would say a PSE compound bow would do the trick
A .22 will take care of it. I love grilled coon.

Yep, a well place .22 slug will solve that issue.
I've eaten BBQ coon too. It's good.
1/2 half can of fly bait mixed with a regular can of Coke or Pepsi will do the trick quite well.

It's a poison that attracts flies and quickly kills them. Search "Golden Malrin" or "Fly Bait".

All I know is they don't get far once they get in it and they blow up like a balloon.
As I said in the 14th reply (last on previous page), the Fly Bait is also known as Golden Malrin, fast acting poison that attracts flies. :)

Would the cats be attracted to that stuff too, Dont need sarah Mclaughlin and her cameras in my backyard ;D
Yes Aaron, cats dogs and anything that gets a few good licks of that stuff will be tit's up 30 feet away. The even worse news is I was out walking in the woods today. Boy was it hot. Anyway, about halfway there I hear a noise in the woods. Peek in and see two Raccoons talking about some super secret BBQ joint up in Puyallup Washington. Last I saw they were headed West with a napkin around their neck. ;D
Jan's rub, rap in bacon, 3 hrs pecan,, temp 225* till IT is 200 (just to burn the rabies off) then two forks to pull apart. Rinse, repeat.
You guys are just to funny :) :) :) Its bad enough I have to stand in the middle of a street to smoke now a days but I got this prick on my back porch tellin me the same thing ;D Ya'll just wait , if this baxtard had a tail I'd be danielle boone by now ;D More to come.............................
maybe something like this would help.

Yes you can relocate him to Spokane, we are more than happy to shoot them for you. But what good is a coon skin cap without a tail?
JD treed a coon this afternoon,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I let him go.
Now if it was a mink or skunk it woulda been dead,,,,,,,,they are the real pest
He was way far from the house,,,,,,,,,,I praised JD for doin what she did.
We never have critters around the house,,,,,,,,,,,,,looks like JD is doin good. ;)

Holy carp did I laugh at this squirrel. OMG. Anyway you watch your cat around stumpy there. They love to attack cats cause they hate them. They will mess your cat up quick. Trust me, I found out the expensive way.
This one will blow a hole in it big enough to throw a cat through 8)

I absolutely love my .17 HMR
the most destruction from a rim fire i have ever seen :)
This little piggy didn't make it home. 308 cal Airgun between the eyes did the trick. 40yrds at night with a red lense

Bad azz .458 Dennis Quackenbush hand made excellence.
So this is a smaller caliber than a 22. but hits harder and is more accurate. It would be hard to be more accurate than my single shot cooey 22. so I would like to see this thing for sure. Plus it is quieter? wow.
I have this really nice wood stocked 22 caliber pellet rifle but it is spring action and you load it by cocking the poop shoot itself. so you can sight it in and it will shoot great until you cock it again...

My problem is I love all animals unless they bite me then sheet might happen ;D
Key, looks like you're preparing to go Javalina hunting with KevinG. You may need 2 more guns if that's the case, as well as a mortar (or 12) from NePaS's son.
I've got an AR-15 chambered in .17 HM2 which is so much fun to shoot. Not as popular as the 17HMR but is safe in semi-autos. Sighted in .5" high at 50 yards it's 0 at the muzzle and 0 again at 100 yards. Never more than .5" of movement but drops off like a rock after 100 yards. Shoots better than I can and is a lot cheaper than 5.56 ammo.

He's gonna need a wheelbarrow for ammo. ;D

i
I like that bottom gun what is that?
That is a Crosman 2250B in .22 cal with a TKO 'lead dust collector' on the barrel. One hole accuracy at 20yrds and strong enough to take out a squirrel, not that I have.......
Here is my other critter getter. An HW 77K in .20 cal. Custom paint by a guy in Michigan.
I drew a line through National Champ part.......
We had the same problem, seems they were smelling the "cow" feed off the 4 wheelers.
Wife: "we need to trap them", trapped one large male, had to wear kevlar gloves to pick the cage up due to biting and scratching, he screamed like a baby and pissed all over everything in sight. Took him about 2 miles away and released him. Thought he was going to kill me when I opened up the cage. 3 days later he was back!
To wife: Never again!!!!
My Solution: Smith & Wesson, 22 caliber, Model 63 Stainless steel, cira 1981, 6 shot, wolf spring kit, Hogue grips = head shot with CCI hollow point, gave him and about 9 others to a friend who has a big wild game cook off every year, taste ok just not my liking.
For the record they are nasty animals, if he lingers to long you will have fleas and ticks in your carpet and furniture. And he will kill your cat!
Haven't seen him in a week or so, hopefully he found a nice tire to rest under..... :) Three people have reported seeing a Bengal tiger neer the outskirts of town, But authorities can't find it.
Tiger news (http://www.king5.com/news/local/Bengal-tiger-Puyallup-Pierce-County--153803855.html#Two)
