Title: Proud owner of a new Bradley saying hello
Post by: jorgy on May 18, 2012, 07:56:20 AM
Got my first bradley smoker last weekend.  Seasoned it up and made a whole Chickend 6.5 lbs.   Turned out beatifully.  Love the Bradley.   Anyone have a good smoked carp recipe?  I am from MN and may get out bowfishing this weekend.

Welcome.  Not too many people eat carp around my parts.  I'm sure someone around here has a good recipe though

Welcome to the forum. I will check with my neighbor on the carp recipe. He has one that actually makes it taste good.

Welcome jorgy. Fellow Minnesotan here also. Used to work with a guy named jorgy(Paul Jorgenson) but he has passed away. Inver Grove Hts. here.
A lot of good info here so don't be afraid to ask.

Try this link. I have smoked pike and Mackinaw with it and if you get all the bones out of the carp and take the hide off you might be surprised. You can get the Soy Vay Veri Veri Teriyaki in the Asian food section of Walmart. use 3.3 oz per pound of fillets and 1 tsp of cure # 1 if you have any for each 5 pounds of fillets. I just put the fillets in a ziplock bag for about 10 hour and turn them a few times then smoke them of frogmats. If you have any more questions you can drop me a PM. Welcome aboard. Here is the link to the smoking process.
