Title: Hello from Indianapolis
Post by: Unidos on May 20, 2012, 08:21:25 AM
Hello all. I just bought a Bradley Digital 4 rack.  While I wait for delivery, other than beer is there anything I need to make my smoking experience more pleasurable.  I make my own cheese and interested in cold smoking. Would love to cold smoke salmon as well.

Any tips

Welcome Unidos. Beer is obviously a good choice. Bradley makes a cold smoke adapter, or you can make your own for  a lot less $$. I always have an ample supply of smoked cheese in the fridge. There are a lot of great and knowledgeable smokers here and any question you have will find an answer on this forum. Ask away! There is a recipe section @ susanminor attached to this forum with hundreds of recipes. Enjoy! Oh, and get bigger pants. ;D ;D

Welcome Unidos, I'm glad your priority's are the same as mine, putting Beer at the top of the list. With your interest in cheese and salmon, just search "cold smoke adapter" and see how other folks do it. Everything from a cardboard box to mailbox or an old microwave. I was lazy and bought the one from Bradley. I lived in naptown for 15 years, not a bad place to live.

Thank you all! I can't wait for this thing to come. Now my only problem is what to smoke first.

A box of your favorite cigars
Fill the freezer with your favorite meats
Good supply of bisquettes(your choice of flavors)

You should be good to go
Welcome from a transplanted Hoosier
