Too much water es no bueno, Devo. I'm guessing it's backed up behind the hydro dam. Been thru there several times on the way to TB. (spent some growing up years in Nestor Falls)

The dam is opened cause they are afraid it will burst, this happened about four years ago also. heres some picks of the falls just below the dam as of 10 AM this morning.

Our travels in the past have taken us to Kakabeka Falls, but when we were there, there was not much water coming over. Impressive right now, but unfortunate for you.

We could sure use some of that rain where I am, North of Barrie.

Most of the winter storms went around us and we got a lot less snow than usual and now the rain storms seem to go around us.

In the last 3 weeks, I think I have dumped 1/4 inch of rain out of may rain gauge.

Stay safe.

Yes I know what you mean, we are not that far from Timmons as the crow flys but they have forest fires and we have rain, more than we need . Someone upstairs needs to get busy and make things right.

Took two hours to get the kid to school today but I was determined to get him there  ;D I'm happy he's not  ::)

Stopped and took some pictures of the river below the falls. Lots of things floating around. Lots of foam on the river also, looks like ice chunks coming down  :o

Farmers field all flooded over

Used to be a nice beach sand bar here at the bottom of the stairs. Set up a lawn chair and a fishing rod, and some beers. That won't happen for awhile.

Looking up river looks piece full but the currents are very strong. Some foam coming down.
