So sorry to hear about Tucker. It takes a log time to grip with things after losing your best bud. Wish him the best on the far side and if there is anything Ann and I can do to help out please drop a line my friend.

Sorry for the loss of your good friend.  Many pet owners feel very attached to their pets like they would another member of their family.  I went through a tough time when my beloved Doberman Nikki passed on at 12 years old.  She was very friendly - not like what Hollywood makes them out to be - and intelligent.

How old was your Tucker?

That's awful, sorry to hear. I understand how hard it is, our English Spinger decided to chase a Bird over a cliff...six meters onto rocks....not good, but he is ok...but for a good few days there....knife edge.

Curt

So sorry to hear. Our pets are family.

Tribute To A Best Friend

Sunlight streams through window pane
unto a spot on the floor....
then I remember,
it's where you used to lie,
but now you are no more.
Our feet walk down a hall of carpet,
and muted echoes sound....
then I remember,
It's where your paws would joyously abound.
A voice is heard along the road,
and up beyond the hill,
then I remember it can't be yours....
your golden voice is still.
But I'll take that vacant spot of floor
and empty muted hall
and lay them with the absent voice
and unused dish along the wall.
I'll wrap these treasured memorials
in a blanket of my love
and keep them for my best friend
until we meet above.

Sorry for your loss Curt, just remember:

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

I'm sorry for your loss OU812. I had to put my 7 year old yellow lab down last year, it's like losing a family member.

Curt we have been camping so we just got on the Forum.  We are so sorry.   We lost a dog at a young age too not so long ago.  I have a big lump in my throat as I type this.  Big hugs to you, Tabby and JD.  I'm going to give Tasha a big hug now.  June & Scott
