Will the new generator work on the original smoker?

Hopefully Chez answers as he can measure to be SURE.  That said, I would bet a block of smoked cheese that it will.  I believe that a generator is just a stainless gen unit, that comes with the housing to attach it to your own smoker.  If you ignore the housing assembly it ought to slip onto the two nubs on a regular smoker.  But like I said hopefully someone who has both can answer.  If you have a local guy, just measure one first or ask to hang it on a store model before you buy it.

Correct Olds.  Looking at the manual there seems to be an additional electrical connection between the generator and the smoker that isn't there in the original.
