Thats some step up from them other 4 wheels ;D.LOL Great lookin RV.
Really nice Rick, lot's of fun...beware of the tail...the part of the coach behind the rear wheels...
WOW - very nice!!! 8)
I think a custom painted Jambo to match would look real nice behind that rig!
Nice Rick!
Thats a Gorgeouus Motorhome, I have just been trying to save for a 5th wheel....

Thanks everyone. We been wanting to do this for few years now.
We going to get a car trailer and haul her miata. We looked at 5th wheel but cant pull her miata :o
I did make sure there was storage for my 6 rack, stuffer and mixes.
Dang Bro! No reason for you not to come to Paducah for the BBQ Fest now. Beautiful rig. Congratulations.
Wow Rick! That is a awesome ride ;)
No more sending him rubs and sauces for Christmas - he's gonna need gas coupons from now on.
Rick
Now that is the way to camp. We picked up a used one is great shape last year. It was in great shape and a good price. I can only imagine how nice that thing is inside. You are going to have fun in that.
KC
Nothing like traveling in comfort..congrats!

Nice rig. I concur on that tail. On a sharp left turn, the right rear can clip a tree or another vehicle that is a little too close and vise versa on a right turn. I took off the mirror on a motor home with my fifth wheel outside swing once.
Yeah i remember from driving tractor trailer.....damn seems so long ago :o
Now that is impressive! Have fun. :)
Looks like a really sweet rig. I'd be curious to know how many gallons per mile you get. Over in these parts we're envious of the dirt cheap gas you have in the US. Enjoy.
Supposed to pick it up this Sat, the dealer is getting it ready doing detail stuff, flushing the winterizing out, making sure all the slide outs are greased and everything is working properly.
I got gas yesterday for $3.08 gal. Sounds like the Saudi's are getting nervous that we are doing our own oil ;D
great looking rig, looks like it will be a lot of fun
QuoteI got gas yesterday for $3.08 gal.
Color me green. 98 octane here is currently $7.01/gal. and 95 octane is a few cents cheaper. They only sell 95 and 98 octane gas here.
That thing is a beast!

Nice looking portable home Rick.
Wow congratulations
Niiiice! Cathy and I spent Sunday looking at RV's also.....

We narrowed it down to this winnebago....negotiating price.

Miss Cathy gonna let you take that to the comps?
Rick...a little advice...when you get your motorhome, find a campground close to home and spend a weekend in the motorhome and try everything in the coach, bathroom, all sinks, the hot waterheater, stoves, microwave, sewer gray tank and black tank, tv's....everything...any problems you are not that far from home...don't find problems 1500 miles from home....good luck my friend....

Rick - I don't have any hookups but there's definitely room for you in the side yard, only steps from the pool. The weather's usually pretty good - c'mon over.

Did they finally finish the bridge from san diego to the islands? :o
No but I think you can get water wings for your slide-outs. Then just pick up the jet ski conversion kit for the Miata and you're practically here.
or get a good running start at about Texas
Too cool Rick!!! Mr and I are out camping right now. One of these days we will have to meet half-way somewhere. Mrs S

Very nice rig Rick.
Lord don't let Kimmie see that thing, I'll be shopping for a new camper ber for long if she does. :o
Where is the Miata, is it in the glove box?
Niiiiiice
Wow Rick, WTG. That thing is nicer than my home, I would be living in it. ;D
You'll have a great time traveling and sight seeing. :)
I'm thinkin ROAD TRIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Make sure you have spare fuses. Trust me on this one.
The "truck" and the "house" may take different styles. Mine does.
Congrats on your new ride. It's beautiful.
Congrats nice way to travel
Looks nice.
I'm curious as to what mpg the dealer said it would get or what others with the same model are getting. Surely you've looked into this by now. What are the numbers?
I asked one guy with a monstrosity at an RV park what his gets and he said about 6 mpg.
Rick, I am so happy for you! Very nice rig for sure.

I'm a Ford guy and deal with many applications, and you are spot on with the 6 mpg figure. It just gets worse when towing or mountain driving. That engine will perform well for many many miles
with proper maint. That engine is very sensitive to the proper oil, so pay attention to specs. Most folks with RV's neglect to follow a maint. schedule on the miles vs time. If your recommended interval is 5k, that means 5 months even if you only put 2k on it. Some RV folks will only do an oil change once a year due to limited use. For some of them it is a costly mistake.
Same thing goes for Transmission service, those are just pickup truck units, so look at how much harder they have to work. If your coach is almost 3 years old but only has 12000 miles, service the transmission. Miles or time, what ever comes first.
This engine is not one that likes sit for extended periods due to the minute oil passages that feed the cam chain tensioners. If it gets starved for oil in the first few seconds of run time, damage can happen. If you store that baby more than 30 days, go take a joyride and all will be well. It's not like the the old school engines that were happy to be just started and brought up to temp.
A 20 mile joy ride with combined city and highway will do wonders for getting rid of any excess moisture and avoid carbon build up.
I dream of one of those coaches with a pullout pellet grill from one of the storage compartments and a big honker like a Meadow Creek strapped to the back. Also in stock would be my Big Easy and a quick sear camping grill.
Just dreams, but good ones!
That's truly a work of art, but I wonder how many " TOOLS " you'll be able to take with you? :)

"But other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how did you like the play?" :o
Ky, I did not mean anything negatve there, sorry if it looked that way.
This is our home on wheels. My wife is going to work for 2more years b4 we do any full time travels. We are staying full time in a local RV park which is very nice. I have plenty of space for my stuffer, 6 rack and the owner of the park said he has no issues with any of my smokers or grills. The space we will be at is located is behind the office/store and free wifi. Sounds like there are 6 full time RV folks who work at GulfStream.
We drove the coach up and down I 85 and i found to get MPG at just a tad over 10. We were hoping to pick this up today but the dealer is still doing deliver prep work on it. I like that when the generator is running you can hardly hear it ;D
Rick, did I read your post correctly? You say you are staying at a local RV park full time. Does this mean you are moving out of your house and into the RV or just that you are parking the RV at the park instead of a storage lot? Either way you will be living the dream of so many folks. I for one dream of having one of those rigs one hopefully sooner than later.
Those puppies going to be able to get up into the coach or you gonna have ta build them a ramp?

Yeah you read right ;D
We did lots of thinking and why should we pay someone else's mortgage. There is a large self store place just down the road so im going to set up all my metal shelving there to keep my smoker parts and stuff in so when or if i need anything its there. I will be having my Bradley. stuffer. MAK, Meadow Creek with us there at the park, So i aint out of the game ;D
My wife did lots of number figuring and we are going to save right around $467 month compaired to living in the rental house. The house up in PA we are undecided if we want to sell it or try to have our daughter assume the mortgage.
I think I would have to Opt-in on the windshield insurance by the looks of the size of those bad boys. I am so happy for you Rick, your doin exactly what I want to do :) :) :)
Way to go Rick. Sounds like you guys are in for some fun times. Kind of nice, if you don't like your back yard you just move for a few days. :)

Didn't realize you were going to go full time so soon Rick. Congratulations on your choice. I know you guys did your homework so it will work out fine.
Now, drive that big boy to Paducah for the BBQ Festival 9/27-9/29. ;D
This so cool Rick. You are on the same sort of path we are. My dad built a 60'x40' houseboat which he and his gal lived in till he had a major stroke 3 years ago.
It is still on the beach on our family's property right on the edge of the river. She doesn't need that much space for just herself so once I lose a couple of mouths around here we will buy her a 30' travel trailer to live in on the property and my wife and I will move into the houseboat. We will then be rent free except for the utilities which will save us a grand in rent every month. I plan to spend the $5000 it will cost to put it in the water. We also have a 30'x80' metal shop that I am trying to organize so I will have lots of room for the smokers and will be able to work on the boats and stuff.
I have to evict some jerk who has a sailboat in the shop and hasn't paid his rent for over 2 years and then the shop is all ours. I may even keep his boat for back payment. It is a cool catamaran which was built out of leftover wood from Howard Hughes Spruce Goose. All documented with certificates. Unfortunately I won't likely end up with the documentation though.
Campfires every weekend, beachcombing for logs to supplement my income and plenty of room to keep the semi truck I drive. No more commuting to work will save me a further $180 a month in gas plus zero wear and tear on the new Impala. Sweet and life will be good.
You might even see me show up to a few of the smokeouts happening around the country. Oh and I forgot to mention the Bahama's. I just want to swim in warm "Azure green" ocean waters. Lol
So congrat's to you folks rick. The money you don't spend on rent will be a welcome addition to your wallet.
Did you get it yet, huh did ya, did ya? We want pic's of it in the driveway getting loaded up. ;D
Its the weekend,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,ya got that house on wheels yet? ;D
Last I heard they was dealing with the Gov't and there was paperwork involved. We all know what its like when dealing with the Gov't and Paperwork. Should have it in the next week or so.
