We are currently in Spring Hill, Florida (a little north of Tampa) I have been in a lot of Tropical Storms, several Hurricaines, and 4 Tornados. This is the first time in a tropical storm while in a fifth wheel RV. We are on the eastern side of the storm so getting a ton of rain and plenty to gusting winds. Tornado warnings and watches everywhere. Kind of exciting fun so far. Plan on heading home Tuesday, but if this storm gets worse I may have to hook up and go a little further inland until it all passes. The northern edges of the storm are hitting at home righ now. Real close to the gulf here.
Stay safe!!!!!
Play it safe cat man! Best of luck to you folks.
Stay safe! We are getting blasted on the east Coast of Florida too. Had warnings all day. Twister touched down to the east of us around noon time. Lots of heavy rains.
keep safe
Hunker down and ride it out WC but by all means stay safe my friend.
stay safe, and stay put till it passes, high winds will blow over the RV
Now the track has it going across the state. From Gainsville to just north of Daytona. Best stay put...Be safe.
Yesterday was pretty interesting. Almost had a House Boat RV. Totally surrounded by at least ankle deep water. 11 plus inches of rain. Stayed below brakes and axles so all is well. This morning still have wind, periodic light rain, and most of the water has run off. We are on the Western side of Highway 19 which is flood prone. Nice RV resort though.
I am scheduled to go home in the morning but the track is taking it right across Florida where I need to pass through. At the moment it is scheduled to make landfall Thursday. May have to stay another day or 2 on vacation. Darn the luck.
Send some of that rain to the Midwest if you can. We haven't had a good drenching in a long, long time and on top of that it is supposed to be 107*F by Thursday here in St. Louis. The average high is around 85*F.
Stay cool, dry and safe.
