Got up early to do my allotted "honey-dos" before the temps got back up into the 100s. So at 8:30am I started spray painting patio furniture. At about 9:30 it was already in the 90s so I poured a cold one while I finished that and started fixing the lawn sprinklers. (Hey Amy Vanderbilt, or whoever the etiquette lady is, says it is ok to start drinking after noon or when the temp hits 90, whichever comes first. It is not my fault we are having a heat wave, blame Al Gore and his damn global warming.)
Anyway, finished the sprinklers and decided to spend the rest of the day in the house with the a/c. So other than watching all the revolutionary movies ( you can only watch Mel Gibson win the war so many times) I decided to try my new pasta maker that mysteriously arrived the other day. Since I didn't feel like pasta decided to make pirogi.
About that time the wife decided it was best for our marriage if she left the house for a while since I was probably going to make a mess.
First I mixed up the dough

Then ran it through the pasta maker rollers (forgot to take a picture of that) and then cut into small circles.

Mixed the mashed potato stuffing and put some on each of the dough circles

Fold the dough over and pinch the ends

Throw them into boiling water

Take them out and let them dry

Bagged and in the fridge. Took a bunch and fried them in butter with some onions.
