Admin is this post is not O.K., please delete it.
Was $99.99 and now $29.00. Pretty sure that is called "We gotta dump these things."
I got one, works good.

Thanks NePa, I've got a hand pump model . I think I'll get one to try out.
I figured at $30 I'd give it a shot. Ordered one yesterday.
Make sure you give the battery a full 24 hour charge before you use it.

I always give all new rechargeable batteries 24 hrs. on the charger before first use.
Old habit of mine.
Just ordered one. Can't go wrong at that price.

Having a little trouble with my new jerky blaster. The propulsion rod will not push the meat out of the barrel. So I took the barrel off and the rod does move but if you put a little bit of pressure against it it stops and I hear a little click every few seconds. The motor is still running but it seems like the drive gear doesn't mesh with the teeth on the propulsion rod correctly. I'm gonna take it apart later today and see if I can identify the problem but was wondering if anyone else has seen this.

Mine won't be here until Tuesday evening but if its like a caulking gun you might need to turn the rod so it is in the correct position, Just guessing....
Have not had the time to use mine yet.
Did you try the turn nob on the top?
Had a chance to take it apart last night. Looks like the drive dawg that engages when you pull the trigger is rounded off so it just slips out of the groove instead of locking in. I'll be contacting customer service tomorrow to check on getting a replacement.

"Out of Stock" on Northern's website today
I noticed my battery and charger gets hotter than a pistol while charging. Hotter than any Bosch, ryobi, dewalt or Makita battery I ever charged. It wont push the rod at all unless you hold it upside down and then it goes backwards pulling the ram back from the meat (if any was in there)and jamming and clicking while it does it. I think I got a badden :) No big deal, hope they make it right.
My battery got warm but not overly hot when I charged it.
Still have not had time to use it. Been setting up a new smoker/grill I got.
Just got off the phone with them, they are giving me a full refund and asked if I could dispose of the jerky blaster. I'll try and fix it.
Good luck, let us know if you get it fixed and what you had to do to it in case anyone else stops working!

Took it apart and really did not see anything wrong but I had it totally disassembled and put it back together and it seems to be working fine now. So I will be making jerky this weekend one way or another ;)
