Title: 1st Brisket
Post by: RossP on July 25, 2012, 08:22:48 PM
Well it's time to do my first brisket, yup, after having my Bradley for over four years the wife has asked for brisket, not bad considering she was Vegan eight years ago. Now the big question what to use as a rub, I have the following Gunpowder, Kanas City Jimmy, Bone Dust, John Henrys Pecan, John Henry's Pig Rub, House of Q Base Rub, Verons Cajun, Howards Old Tyme Seasoning 2X hot.
and Black Ceasars blackening spice. I am leaning towards the Gunpowder, or should I get something else? Good rubs hard to get up here in Canada. Thanks

Gunpowder is good but plain old salt and pepper are excellent on brisket by themselves - the cut plus smoke has a great beef flavor that you don't need to mess with.
