This may be my favorite way to eat a burger
(http://i47.tinypic.com/m76wko.jpg)
2 - 1\2 lb. 90% Ground Beef patties (one made slightly smaller than the other) Seasoned to your taste on both sides.
6 slices Applewood Bacon (cooked crispy.)
French Fried Potato Cubes (cooked crispy)
Grilled onions and jalapenos
2 ounce cube of American cheese
Your favorite BBQ Sauce
The bun;
Cheddar \ Jalapeno made fresh and toasted crunchy
First of all this thing is huge as you can see. The secret to making one of these is the seal between the patties.
I get my smoker very hot or you can grill these as well. I have to have the smoke though. For these I always use good ole Mesquite.
Take your slightly larger half pound burger patty and place in on a cutting board. (make sure you season it plz.)
Take your 6 slices of Bacon and arrange these on the patty so as to leave about an inch of patty sticking out all the way around. Take your crispy cut potato cubes stack em on the same way. Add the grilled Jalapenos and finally top with the cheese cube.
Next get the slightly smaller patty(seasoned of course) and lay er on top. This is where the trick is...You have to fold the bottom edge over the top patty edge and give it a pinch to seal . After I get it sealed I always form the patty for shape and make sure no items are sticking out.It takes a lil practice but it is easy to master. Place in a hot smoker or grill it. I like it med well but a good guide is to look for the cheese to start oozing out. I place the homemade BBQ sauce on the burger in the last few minutes of cooking.
I don't add anything else and you usually do not need sides with this monster
Fun Fun Yumm..

OK,,,,,,,,,,,,,Now I'm REALLY hungry
Around here we call that beast a Juicy Luicy
That thing is a MONSTER
1st i do not think the legs of my grill will handle the weight.
That is a monster burger!
2nd i would have to buy a wheelbarrow to get it to the grill and back.
BUT..............me still thinks i will give this one a try :)
This one is actually the one I was eating and it was a lil small for the bun still. Yes that is a McDonald's Big Mac beside it and it is on a standard 9" plate.
