Title: Jalapeño Cheddar Pepperoni
Post by: Scottie's Gourmet Meats on August 15, 2012, 07:58:05 AM
So I have been making regular and jalapeño pepperoni for a few years now and they come out wonderful! So I experimented with cheddar in the jalapeño and it came out great, but it seems like the jalapeños are a lot more spicier than before. Only thing I changed was adding the cheese. Any suggestions as to what is going on?

The only thing I can think of is that not all hot peppers are equal. You may have gotten hold of a batch of really hot jalapenos this time. This year's hot weather, tends to favor hot peppers.

Thanks Hab, I was wondering that too. Who knows, these are dried Jalapeños that I use. I'm gonna try half the amount of jalapeños in the next batch of jal/cheddar

The jalapeno cheddar pepperoni sounds good. I may have to try that combination some time.
