Right now we are getting heavy downpours with some strong wind gusts. I have heard reports that there are some power outages in the Miami area. Just wanted to wish all of you living in Florida some well wishes and hope that you any your family will be safe while hurricane Isaac. Perhaps the storm will track up to the midwest and deliver much needed rain to the drought stricken midwest.
Got me gas for the generator! Got beer in the fridge and got some smoked brisket and pulled pork in the freezer and smoked some sticks yesterday. Got the pistachios made and smoked last night so we are pretty much prepared for any power outages.
Yup
Y'all stay safe down there.
We just supposed to get some rain and light winds.
QuoteY'all stay safe down there.
X2!
I've got the RV full of fuel, plus another 5K generator.
And 4 pork butts on the MAK.
The 2 days of rain before Isaac is not helping, although I can still see some of my yard.
All of our friends in Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi along the coast need to keep an eye on Isaac.
You guys take care down there!
We just drove over to my moms to let some water out of the pool, then we drove over to the beach.
The cops had all the parking areas staked out so I didn't get any pics.
It's really not that bad right now.
These things are not good no matter where they make land fall.
Just hopin it don't track farther west and come get me.
Would be a Cat 3 plus by then.
Everyone stay safe.
Every one in the path of Isaac stay safe
Would be nice to get some of that rain up here
The power was out 30 minutes here. It just came back on.
The UPS I have on the MAK kept my pork butts going.

Stay safe there monkey! Best of luck to all of you guys down that way.
I've got about a foot of water in my yard. no road - it's under water.
I have a moat around my castle.
But the house is dry.
It's all good.

Randy, glad your are high and dry. We had over 12 inches of rain here in Boynton. They had pumped the canal down that is in my back yard prior to the storm. It is as high now as I have ever seen it. It has backed up thru the storm drains and flooded the front yard and street. No water in the house and the canal is really running. Lots and lots of water in the development to drain.

Water in the driveway. When a car goes thru it washes up the debris into the drive.

Kids being kids. It is about shin deep in the gutters.
And it is still pouring here....
Watch out for gators. Glad you all went unscathed and no water damage.

Thanks.
It is still raining, and the water is still rising. our motorhome is very close to getting swamped.
Randy, it is still pouring here. The water has moved up on the driveway. With the slope of the land I am guessing that I can take about 15 inches of water until we have interior flooding. The lakes that are drained by the canal system can't drain and the canals are getting deeper. :o

That is after we raised the front end a couple of inches on blocks.
Stay safe! I can't even imagine going thru this...
Although I don't wish flooding on anyone we need the rain here in the midwest. The storm track says we should have plenty of it by the end of the week from the tropical storm aftermath.

Holy Crap!
That's not good. Sure glad I am on high ground here in the Panhandle.
You need to put your RV up on ramps a couple of feet high. Hope everyone didn't get much damage.
stay dry bent.
Looks like New Orleans is getting hammer by this storm. What a shame. Those people have been threw enough. But that is the nature of where they are located.
Whatever was left of Isaac passed through St. Louis on Saturday. A few inches of rain and 5 mph winds. I guess I was expecting something more substantial.
