Title: Started pork butt/Auber PID problem
Post by: Illsmokeanything on September 02, 2012, 09:33:48 AM
Hey all you PID users.  I have an Auber Dual PID and have never had any problems with it before, but I started a pork butt this morning and I am having a problem....when I plug the probe 2 (IT probe) in my temp is dancing around everywhere!!  What the heck? It is going from 65 to 200's???  Is my sensor bad? Any ideas?

Same thing happened to me. It was the oven temp sensor. I emailed Suyi at Auberins and was sent a new one. There is a way to test them with a multi meter. I had an email from him showing how to test it and what Ohms it should show when its good. The email got delelted though. Call Auberins or email them. They are extremely helpful.

Yeah I think that's what it is. Luckily after about an hr it seemed to stabilize and work normally. I'll make an inquiry to auber and let them know what's going on.  Thanks
