Post by: Keymaster on September 23, 2012, 05:04:14 PM
Wife put some Ham hocks and Pinto beans on the stove yesterday. It made a great dinner but you just wait until you see the snack she did for today.

Just about ready for dinner

This made a great dinner and the ham hocks were really meaty :) Served with Buttered tortillas.

So this is the first time the wife has ever done this with her Ham Hock soup. She took the left overs added some shredded cheese and Jalepinos and this stuff was Killer.

Gawd the hickory ham flavor with the beans, cheese and Jalepinos was awesome with the corn chips you gotta do it.

Just like you see it in the pictures, Get your beans and follow the directions on how to cookem and then throw in your likin of salt, pepper, garlic and onions. Throw in the Ham Hocks and let it go all day stirrin once a hour on low to medium. Makes the house smell real good ;) Just make sure the hocks are covered with water. I wish I could give you a accurate recipe but thats how the wife makes it, By taste and no measuring spoons :) when the beans are done take the bones out of the hocks and enjoy. I think the wife took the skin out or made it so small I did not see it ;)
