Title: King Roast? What is it
Post by: rymcty on November 08, 2012, 06:47:49 AM
I can't find any information on what King Roast exactly is.  What cut is this from.  I always believed Prime Rib was the King.

I've heard porterhouse referred to as king steak but never heard of king roast.  What's it look like?  Got a photo?

this is the closest I found:
http://prairiemeats.ca/butchers-block/species/beef/?butchers-block-families=roasts (http://prairiemeats.ca/butchers-block/species/beef/?butchers-block-families=roasts)
but it is a prime rib
I have seen standing pork roast formed into a circle with the ribs sticking out referred to a a crown roast.
That's all I got ;)
