Post by: freakaccident on November 22, 2012, 10:56:45 AM
Auber dual probe PID - temp 1 is just showing -H- and it's not kicking on the cabinet heater.  Any ideas?

Thanks

I just sent you a PM that has a threat to help set the PID http://forum.bradleysmoker.com/index.php?topic=18346.0  I am just walking out the door to go to my daughters for Thanksgiving or I would have you call.  I hope this thread can help you.

I figured it out.  The temp probe for the cabinet temp is apparently bad and the auber was showing as high temp.  Im using the meat temp probe for cabinet temp so the auber will run and I will monitor the meat temp with my Maverick.  Time to get a new probe I guess.

Turkey turned out great but was a bit late due to the probe issue delaying my start.  I definitely need to add an additional heating element.  It wouldn't get above 232 degrees and it was about 60 degrees outside.  I would like to do a brisket this weekend but temps are going to be in the 20s at night.  I'll have to wait until next year.

Simply bake the probe. Its normally just moisture. Just put probe end into oven.
