You need to connect it to a computer that has itunes installed on it. You should be able to transfer pics to and from it through itunes. My wife has an iPad, she uses it all the time. Its a great little toy. As if you wanted to lets say take a picture with it and then transfer it on photobucket I'm not sure if that would work but I don't see how it wouldn't

Yes you can. If you use photobucket then you can download their app from the App Store for free. Safari does not support flash so the upload system on photobucket's website will not work but the app works fine.

Rick PM me your I-tunes ID so I can gift you a good app that helps to learn the secrets of the iPad.

I'm right there with ya NePa, my laptop puked a couple weeks ago so my wife talked me into an Ipad. Keep in mind my kids call me "Low tech". I already miss the CD, DVD drive, and SD card slots etc. but it is handy.

They also make a wireless external hard drive for the iPad that you can store and transfer pics, movies, etc to/from. It works great.
Trust me Rick, if I can use it ANYONE can!  ;D

You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.

Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).

Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

Turn your wireless sea gate on and go to settings on your iPad. Click,on wifi and it should find your wireless hard drive.

Rick when you get your replacement iPad setup install the Dropbox app. Then from that app you can drop pictures and files from your iPad, phone, or computer into the box and then grab them from any Internet connected computer or phone from your virtual Dropbox. You can give anyone accsess to the Dropbox. So they can also grab pictures or drop pictures into your box. You can get to all the pictures, videos, and files from anywhere at anytime. They give you 2GB of storage for free.

There is an adapter that I bought that has USB, micro SD, and SD ports. I believe I paid around $8 for it.
