Title: Bradley repair parts on this side of the pond (Europe/UK)
Post by: 3rensho on November 30, 2012, 05:27:37 AM
I'm looking for a source for a puck advance switch for the Black Baradley smoke generator.  My wife was cleaning up our shop and managed to break it off the smoke generator  >:( >:(.  I've looked on bradley.co.uk and they have a link in their FAQ for their shop which allegedly stocks repair parts but the link is dead.  Thanks in advance.  I've had this Bradley for eight years now with never a problem until my better half was riding her broom thru the shop.

try sending Brian from Bradley a PM, he may be able to steer you in the right direction

Thanks Gus.  I mailed bradleysmoker.co.uk but no reply as yet.

Hey 3...  I've had various parts replaced over the past couple of years, all from Grakka UK, which is the company that distributes Bradley over here.  My contact there most recently was Brigitte Watkins brigitte at grakka dot com.  Not sure if she is still there, but the number to call is +44 (0) 1803 712712.  I've ordered a cold smoke adapter from them recently, and this is the number from the consignment invoice.

From my experience, they are as helpful over here as Brian is in Canada...  so you should be ok.

Many thanks Expat.  I'll get in touch with her.

Yes, I have used Grakka in the past.  They seem to keep a wide range of parts and their service is good. Let us know how you get on.

I noticed the link to spare parts no longer works a while ago, I have ordered a replacement door seal and a few other parts such as a new element over the years without issue from Grakka and there was a comprehensive list available covering just about every eventuality.

They could be ordered on line quickly and easily, be a shame if this has changed.

Hope they get you sorted 3rensho?

I called them last week and talked to a lady named Pippa.  They sent the part and the package arrived today.  Unfortunately what they sent is the on-off switch for the smoke generator and not the puck advance button.  The invoice clearly states "puck advance button".  The saga continues.  You're lucky in the US to be served by Yard and Pool as well as Bradley directly.
