Did some Baby backs on the Bradley. This was the first time smoking with an electric smoker. I did the 2-2-1 method. I do have to say they came out pretty good. A couple observations, the 500W element has to go. Heat recovery is ridiculous. Although I did not put a brick or two in as suggested. I wanted to see how the smoker reacted. Also, I had to keep the throttle about 80% open to maintain 220-225 degrees.
Had an small issue with the placement of the probe on the Maverick. But jumped on here and got my question answered quickly.
I see and element upgrade and pid coming real soon. All in all, great little smoker.

Nice Job on those Ribs!!!
Great Job! Yep told you you'd want more power! LOL! But remember when your looking your not cooking. ::) Very nice pics and those ribs look Delicious. And your presentation was great. I knew you were going to make a great addition to this site. May want to check out the small fan mod too. It does help circulate the heat a little better. But still should rotate and switch levels on racks to get more even cooks. But the mods are easy and fun to know your making it your own.
Thanks guys. And, yes. I defiantly want to upgrade to more power. Been looking around here and looks like I have two choices. 1. Add a second 500w element. 2. Replace the existing 500w with a 900w element. Witch is the preferred method? Are there any pro or cons between 2 elements vs one 900w? Also, would I need to install a fan with this upgrade? If someone could point me towards wiring/install instructions on either one I would appreciate it.
As I said I prefer two in case one goes out. Can happen with any thing. Here is the recipe site and the mods for all those who need it.
our recipe site if you cruse down the page you'll see the mods.
