Title: My kinda pie

Some folks call it a cottage pie, some call it a shepherds pie,,,,,, I call it My kinda pie!
We start with 2 lb coarse ground brisket, 1/2 green pepper and a small onion, chopped

Cook till beef is no longer pink and veggies are tender then add 1 Tbl beef soup base

Now add some Worcestershire sauce and a bit of Kitchen Bouquet gravy sauce along with a can of cream of celery soup and a splash of milk

A lb of frozen veggies and simmer till thick

Steam up 2 1/2 lb of taters

Add 1 1/2 cups of sour cream

Let the KA mixer do its thing and a couple min later we got this

Dump the beef mixture in a 9x13 dish

Top with the taters

Mop with some melted butter

Cook at 350 F till bubbly then broil till taters are nicely browned

Let rest 30 min then slice N serve

Now THAT"S a pie!!!!! Meat and potatoes ...... how can you go wrong. Nice job.

I noticed that. But it still looks good. ;)

Just kiddin, I love veggies too but could do without the sour cream. :P

I normally put cream cheese in the taters but used it up in another dish  ;D

Thats one of my favorite winter dishes OU812. You would never taste the sour cream JZ. I do almost the exact same thing, but we put shredded cheese on top.

I like cheese on top too,,,,,,,,,,,,but I used that on another dish also  ::)
