My sticks have stalled at 130* for about 4 hours now, temp set at 165*, moved the 2 meat probes around couple of times, still get the same reading. Total time in now about 11 hours!
Only 5# batch. :( :(
Sounds normal to me. I get a stall between 120 and 130. Each batch is different at what temp they stall but most I see is at 126. I remember before I installed a fan I would have snack stix cooks of over 12 hours. Is your vent open full. Sometimes you can kick start a stall by opening door a few times. Are you probing at the top or bottom of stixs. If your vent is wide open I would say just give her time and she will break the stall.
I usually bump it up to 170 when that happens. Hope it gets done soon :)

Believe it or not that opening the door trick works
Bundy,
My stix stalled last weekend at 121. Stayed that way for about two hours, then they started climbing again. Don't give up, it'll be worth the wait.
Jeff
Thanks All !!
They did get done shortly after post and bumping to 170* I opened the door prior to that a couple of times just to move the probes.
Why would opening the door help with at stall? Are you venting moisture build up in the smoker?
