Title: Cinnamon Spiced Pecans
Post by: NePaSmoKer on December 26, 2012, 10:30:30 AM
Cinnamon spiced pecans

ingredients
1 egg white
1 T water
1 lb. pecan halves
1 cup granulated sugar
3/4 t salt
1/2 t ground cinnamon
If you want to kick it up add 1 t cayenne

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees F.
2. Grease one baking sheet.
3. In a mixing bowl, whip together the egg white and water until frothy.
4. In a separate bowl, mix together sugar, salt, and cinnamon.
5. Add pecans to egg whites, stir to coat the nuts evenly. Remove the nuts, and toss them in the sugar mixture until coated. Spread the nuts out on the prepared baking sheet.
6. Bake at 250 degrees F   for 1 hour. Stir every 15 minutes.

Hint: You can use a gallon Ziploc bag instead of a bowl to mix together the sugar, salt, and cinnamon. Then you can toss the pecans to coat. Makes for an easier clean up.

You reckon it matters what kind of "oven" we use?  ;-)
(like, maybe, one that spews HICKORY SMOKE?)

Hey...  wanna kick it up a notch?
I can personally vouch for these insanely good pecans (OMG)...

Guess I'll be out shopping for pecans after work today. They look great.
