Hi
Just received a 4 rack digital for xmas.

Went through the seasoning procedure , but have a question about the smoker bisquette system.
I loaded 5 bisquettes and then pressed the left side smoker on/off button to on. Then I pressed the smoker timer button and set the timer to 1 hour then I pressed the timer set button again and it advanced my unburned bisquette into my water pan!lol
What did I do wrong? I thought I had to press "wood" to advance the bisquette- but it seemed to advance as soon as I started the timer.
Can someone clarify the correct procedure for me. Do I have to preheat the smoker before advancing a bisquette?
Confused? I don't want a repeat of the wet bisquette episode.
Thanks for your  kind assistance!

Pre heat with the bisquette burner on. When you come to temp, then put the bisquettes in and advance manually till the first one is at the end of the slide. That is one way.

Thanks. Does the timer have to be set to preheat the bisquette burner? Or does it preheat as soon as the on/off smoker button is pressed?
