Title: Almost there.....
Post by: GusRobin on January 01, 2013, 07:42:32 PM
My optimum Bradley set-up is a " permanent" cold smoke set up consisting of an OBS SG, hooked to a cold smoke box, connected to a 6 rack, run by a PID and housed in a wooden "house". I'm getting there. (I'll apologize for the lousy pics ahead of time)
I have the OBS SG and homemade cold smoke box. I bought a damaged 6 rack cabinet. Wasn't too bad, just a dented rear left corner.

Added a 2nd element

Installed 2 OBS in-line overtemp sensors and fuses.

Added a used fan kit that I bought from a member a while back.

You may notice on the previous photo that I have two plugs in the back. Each element will have its own plug in for power. The piece of sheet metal is a "patch" on where I initially installed the second plug. But there wasn't much room there and the metal power contacts were touching metal so when I first plugged them in I blew the breaker for the kitchen lights. So had to move it.

Last part of the mod was to add the additional 6 rack holders to make it a 12 rack. (Geez- I gotta smoke something in this soon or I am going to go blind with that shiny interior)

Two steps left - (1) I need to finish the control box, and (2) have to remodel the Bradley house - it was built for a 4 rack so I need to raise the top about 9 inches. Probably would have had the house done first but it has been raining all week.
More to come later.
