Tasty looking food!  Ziplock bag with water(sometimes with pennies or foil in it) to confuse(repel) flies.  Didn't know people still used that in GA!  Always meant to try it.  ;D

Mythbusters tried that water-bag thing, but didn't use the pennies or foil...just a bag of water.  Result was that they actually drew more flies to that side of the experiment case.

But that's far from the only one they got wrong, or at least have concluded with inaccurate data.

The first year it did. However I had them put out sooner than I did the second year. I think it does help quite a lot. No pennies in ours

Dinner looks great , Heard of the bag of water thing but never tried it, I know a bowl of vinegar don't keep these flies in washington off my back deck in the summer time :)

That's the great thing about traveling, discovering out of the way gems like that cafe. Looks fun. We just bought a new travel trailer and we pick it up today. I'll post pics later. Never seen the water bag thing either. Guess I've lived a sheltered life up here in the northwest. Have fun.
