I hate days like these, cold as all get out and had a big mess up in the kitchen.

Lets just say I was gonna make a big ol pot of ham N bean soup.

So last night I boned out what was left of a ham I cooked a wile back, dropped the bone in the crock pot and covered with water

Then trimmed up all the ham and dumped the trimmings in the pot

Got some nice hunks for sammies

The rest all diced up for the soup

This morning, over 12 hr in the pot on low, we got this

Now is when everything took a crap!

I had a dish in the sink with the strainer on it and was getting ready to pour the pot in the strainer and when I turned around to go to the sink there was a dog laying right there.

I tripped on the dog, spilled the HOT juice all over the floor and wile I was trying to make it to the sink I burnt the crap outta my hand!

This is after dunking my hand in ice water for an hr

Yep,,,,,,every thing is wasted,,,,,,,,,,,only good thing is I didnt break my crock pot.

Now on to plan B,,,,,,,,,,,potato soup with chopped ham

Oh man thats has to hurt real bad bud. i feel your pain as I have burnt myself with hot liquid before and its very painful for sure. Hope you mend fast and the plan B works out for you.

It was looking real good. Smart move icing it up Curt, now a little liquid gold down the ole pipe will cheer yah right up ;)

Man, that sucks. Hope it feels better soon.

If it blisters, come on up, I have some cream stuff that will soothe it as well as prevent infection from getting in there.
