One of our old favorites made with our maple smoked pork bellies.
Maple-Bacon Oven Pancake
Preheat oven to 425 deg's
1 ½ cups Bisquick baking mix
1 ½ cups shredded Cheddar
I use Tillamook Cheddar
¾ cup milk
¼ cup maple syrup the real thing
1 tablespoon sugar
2 eggs
12 slices smoked maple bacon
Crisply cooked and crumbled
About one cup mine on the larger size
GREASE and flour rectangular baking dish, 13x9x2 inches.
Beat baking mix, ½ of the cheese, the milk, syrup, sugar and
eggs with a wire wisk or hand beater until only small lumps
Remain; pour into dish.
BAKE uncovered until wooden pick inserted in center comes
Out clean, 10 to 15 minutes.
SPRINKLE pancake with remaining cheese and the bacon.
Bake uncovered until cheese is melted, 3 to 5 minutes longer.
Cut into squares and serve with maple syrup.
The mix in a baking dish ready for the oven, half of the cheddar
and bacon in waiting.

Looks great. Would have never thought of putting the meat on top instead of distributed throughout. May have to try Sunday.
Looks good! So is it more savory than sweet? Do you serve with extra syrup?
