Title: Bacon, skin up or skin down.
Post by: RedJada on February 02, 2013, 08:37:37 AM
I am going to try some bacon next weekend using Tenpoint5's "Maple Cured Bacon" recipe.

My question is, should I smoke/cook skin side up or skin side down. Thanks

Going to have to scrap the bacon this time around. The butcher was fresh out. So, going to do a whole chicken today...

I just purchased bacon hangers for mine. The last (it was my first attempt too) I laid them fat down and, oh GOD, were they good!  I could barely wait for them to cool enough to slice!
