Title: Moist Ribs
Post by: bobbq on February 02, 2013, 12:19:43 PM
In the past I smoked/cooked ribs on a Brinkman Gas Smoker that used a water pan. I'm thinking of purchasing a Bradley Smoker and would like to know if I can get tender ribs using the Bradley?

Hi bobbq.  I saw in the chat log that you asked a similar question but there was no one else in the chat room at the time.

The Bradley does come with a water pan.  Actually, it's a small bowl that a lot of us have swapped out for something like an 8x13 aluminum baking pan filled about halfway with water.  It's to catch and extinguish the spent pucks but that much water is going to add some moisture to the cooking chamber.

I do the Texas Crutch (http://amazingribs.com/tips_and_technique/texas_crutch.html) to make them more tender.
