Title: Hand Surgery...
Post by: ghost9mm on February 06, 2013, 03:56:55 PM
Well I had some hand surgery yesterday and things are going pretty well, I had a ganglion cyst removed and two trigger fingers released, and carpel tunnel repaired, I had put this off way to long...and in 6 weeks they will do my right hand....my hands would wake me up 5 and times a night...this should have been done a long time ago, I guess it's a guy thing...lol.. So no watch repair, wood turning, but I can still keep the smoker running... :D

Glad it went well Gary, since my carpal tunnel surgeries I no longer get up at night from the pain and no more tingling/numbness in my fingers.

Great to hear that everything is on the mend. Has Miss Pat given you her easy button to use during the healing process?

I feel for ya! I had a ganglion cyst removed from my right wrist a few years back. It got so bad that I could not even hold a glass of water. Very painful recovery period. I now have some ganglion cysts in my left arm, and between every joint in both hands where the fingers join the hand. None of them severe enough yet to warrant surgery though.

I hope your recovery goes well.

Hoping for a speedy recovery Gary.  Jan had a trigger finger released last year.  Went through with flying colors.

You can handle this!

Sorry to hear of the surgery.  Believe me when I say been there done that more times then I care to think of.   Take it easy and DON'T rush getting back to working with that hand (don't ask how I know that either  :'( )

Hope you feel better real soon.
