Title: Oven Temp Question
Post by: MoHuka on February 09, 2013, 08:32:09 AM
I received my new Maverick ET732 today and decided to test it on my 2 kitchen ovens.  In both ovens the ET732 indicated 30 to 40 degree swings +/- averaging on the temp set on the overn eg, 300 degrees.  An analog thermometer in the oven indicates a solid 300 degrees..Is this normal?  Wondering if the Maverick samples so frequently that it sees temprerature variations that an analog won't.

I agree- since it is known that ovens have wide temp swings, I would conclude that the one showing the swings is the correct one.
