Title: I tried short ribs for the first time.

Hey this weekend I tried short ribs and they were great.(http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/02/19/7a6y4e2u.jpg)
They turned out super tender and they didn't last long.(http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/02/19/a9enutun.jpg)
It was about 19 degrees out and very windy. I have my Obs in a suncast utility cabinet that i lined with some thin foil looking insulation and it held temps just fine.  Smoked at about 225 for about 5 hours. No mods on my obs except for having it in that litte cabinet.(http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/02/19/jy8yjy5u.jpg)oh so good just ate the last one!

... which is why, if you do them right (and you obviously did), they call them "short" ribs.

Fall off the bone beef short ribs good.  Fall off the bone pork ribs bad.

I had never cooked or even eaten short ribs before they were great. Kind of like brisket on a bone

My super Italian wife makes these in her Sunday sauce. They sit in the sauce all day while it cooks and they fall off the bone. Amazing in meat sauce. Only reason I'm mentioning is because so many people here say they've never had short ribs before.
