Title: Time to retire the stand up freezer
Post by: devo on February 24, 2013, 05:46:14 PM
The stand up freezer that I was using for dry curing went tits up on me today so lucky I had a back up. I had bought a old pop cooler a while ago and never got around to using it till now. Out with the old  (https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-jZrwyHSRQl8/T6Go2aQj28I/AAAAAAAACeI/feJvfWDIPdk/s640/DSC_0001.JPG)

and in with the new/old

Its in a room with dark blinds that gets no day light so light should not be a problem. The compressor is noisy but with the door closed to the room it's hardly noticeable.
Has a lot more room for hanging than the stand up freezer also, I like that part. Not much in there right now but hopefully soon I will find some time to get something going.
Temps and R/H is bang on so this should work very well.
