Title: Occational puck advance issues
Post by: STLstyle on March 09, 2013, 03:12:18 PM
My last 2 smokes I have had issues with getting consistent puck advances.  It will work for an hour or so without issue, and then not cycle through until I do a manual advance.  The manual advance is working properly every time.  I removed the bubba pucks and still am having the same issue.  I've cleaned the track twice but I'm still having issues.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

try these,

1) open the smoke generator and check for any burrs and remove them
2) while open look for any bad connections  in the smoke generator, also check the micro switch on the advance mechanism

Thanks STLstyle for posting this question. I had this problem a bit recently too but I think my smoke generators need to be cleaned from the wood crubs. Thanks also for some troubleshooting I csn check while cleaning to make sure they will be back to top running condition.
