I got a great recipe for (cooked) salsa from Pachanga a year or so back and it's been a winner every time. Ran out of the last freezer bag yesterday so dug out the ingredients and went to work. I got a wild hair somewhere and decided to add a couple of extra "salsa-type" ingredients. It sucked and I could only doctor it back to mediocre. Looks like I'll be making a new batch correctly for me and donating a bag of tortilla chips and the junk I made today to my local dive bar tomorrow. They won't know the difference and will be grateful for the freebie.
Moral of the story: When Pachanga gives you a recipe, stick to it unless you're either a lot smarter or somewhat stupider than he is. I obviously fell squarely into the latter category this time and have very little hope of ever getting to the former.
For being a disobient bad boy, I think you should share the recipe.
I love me some good salsa.
