Post by: OU812 on March 13, 2013, 07:35:00 PM
Taby is home for spring break so we did up some turkey

First they both got a ride in the tumbler with some Creole Butter,,,,,,,,a small whole turkey and a big ol turkey breast

The whole turkey was cooked in this thingy
(http://i726.photobucket.com/albums/ww263/OU812_bucket/poultry/100_3731_zpsa13cde2e.jpg)

With some hunks of apple
(http://i726.photobucket.com/albums/ww263/OU812_bucket/poultry/100_3732_zps26a6f818.jpg)

Game on!!

The breast was smoked in the Bradley at 250 F with 2 hr apple

Then finished off in TBE

The finished Big Red bird

Both were done at damn near the same time,,,,,,gotta love it!!

Nice looking birds!  Wow!  Your work area does look like mine!  Or...mine like yours.  Do you have a frig on one end and a microwave on the other, too?  Speaking of turkeys...just one week until the wild variety become eligible for the Bradley!!!

Nice looking birds!
But I don't see any snow on your grass.  We've still got almost all of ours up here in SD.  Needs to warm up, so I can crank up the smoker again.
