Title: A gun powder taste treat
Post by: iceman on March 24, 2013, 09:04:47 AM
Decided to take out a second loan on the house and have a little treat last night. We wanted to try the gun powder spice out on something tasty so..................

Asparagus with EVOO,gunpowder, garlic and pepper.

Cold smoked a couple fillet mignon then sprinkled on the gun powder.

Gave it a good sear then slow smoke cooked on the pellet pooper to finish them.

So what was the loan for Pat? The asparagus or the filet mignon? :o I used to live in Soldotna, so know the high food costs up there. (except for the fish)

I have one in a square'ish shape made by Lodge. Think they are called
ribbed grill pans.

Yup.  Gander Mountain, Bass Pro, etc. carry them.  Nice (heavy) pans.

True Value Hardware. It's made by Lodge. Like the monkey said, they make a square one also.

Must have been a typo.  ::)
